Appraisals
Run appraisal and increment cycles — propose raises with ratings, approve them against a budget, and apply them to salaries in one action.
Running an Appraisal Cycle
Create the Cycle
Go to Payroll → Appraisals and click New Cycle. Set the Cycle Name, Start Date, End Date, Effective Date, cycle Type (Annual, Mid-Year, Quarterly, Promotion, Ad-Hoc), and an optional Budget Percentage (%).
Start It
Click Start on the cycle to open it for proposals — the cycle moves from Draft to In Progress.
Propose Increments
For each employee, open Propose Increment and enter the Increment %, a Rating (1-5), and Comments. The cycle tracks proposed totals against your budget.
Approve
Review each proposal and approve it. Increments move through Proposed → Approved (or Rejected).
Apply All
Click Apply All to push every approved increment into the employees’ contracts as salary revisions, effective from the cycle’s Effective Date. The cycle is then Completed.
Cycle & Increment Statuses
| Level | Statuses |
|---|---|
| Cycle | Draft, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled |
| Increment | Proposed, Approved, Rejected, Applied |
Applied increments create contract revisions — if the Effective Date is in a past pay period, the difference is paid as arrears in the next payroll run.
