WhatsApp & Meta Lead Ads
Capture leads automatically from WhatsApp conversations and Facebook/Instagram lead ads, and message leads on WhatsApp without leaving Tickmark.
Integrations attach to a specific funnel. Connect them from Sales → Pipeline → Funnel Settings → Integrations — see Integrations for setup.
Inbound WhatsApp Messages Become Leads
When someone messages your connected WhatsApp Business number:
- A lead is created automatically in the funnel the number is connected to, with the source set to WhatsApp (or WhatsApp ads, for Click-to-WhatsApp campaigns)
- If a lead already exists for that WhatsApp number in the funnel, the message is threaded onto the existing lead’s conversation — no duplicate lead is created
- The full conversation history is stored on the lead
The WhatsApp Tab on a Lead
When the lead’s funnel has an active WhatsApp integration, the lead detail page shows a WhatsApp tab and a Send WhatsApp header button.
From the WhatsApp tab you can:
- View the conversation — a chat-style Message History with inbound and outbound messages, plus delivery status ticks (Queued → Sent → Delivered → Read)
- Quick send — pick an approved template and click Send
- Manage templates — create, edit, and delete templates, filtered by All / Approved / Pending / Rejected
Outbound messages use approved templates only, in line with WhatsApp Business API rules. Standard WhatsApp API charges apply per conversation.
Sending a Template Message
Pick a Template
Click Send WhatsApp (or Send next to an approved template) to open the Send Template Message dialog.
Fill in Variables
Templates with {{n}} placeholders show a “Fill in variables” section with an input per variable — the first variable is pre-filled with the lead’s name. A live preview shows the final message.
Send
Click Send. Delivery status updates automatically in the Message History.
Bulk-Sending Templates
From the pipeline board, click Bulk WhatsApp (visible when the funnel has an active integration). A four-step wizard walks you through it:
- Select leads — search and check leads on the board, or Select All
- Select template — approved templates only
- Fill variables — same variable inputs and preview as single sends
- Confirm — review the summary and click Send to N Leads
Meta Lead Ads Auto-Import
Connect a Facebook page to a funnel and every lead-form submission from your Facebook and Instagram ads is imported automatically:
- Leads land in your chosen funnel and stage in real time, with the source tagged as Meta Lead Ads
- Field Mapping controls how form answers fill lead fields — map each Meta Field to a Tickmark Field, add extra mappings, or Reset to defaults (full name, email, and phone are mapped out of the box)
- During setup you can optionally import existing leads from the last 90 days
- Each Meta lead is imported once — duplicates of the same form submission are skipped
Once imported, Meta leads behave like any other lead — assign them, move them through the pipeline, and track them from the lead detail view.
