Billing & Subscription

Manage your workspace’s subscription plan, modules, seats, and payment history from Settings → Billing & Plan.

How Plans Work

Tickmark plans are built around five modules. Each plan enables a specific combination of them:

ModuleWhat it unlocks
CRMLeads, sales funnels, contacts, enquiries
ProjectsProjects, tasks, boards, time tracking
PayrollSalaries, leaves, attendance, HR settings
FinanceDeals, payments, invoicing
File StorageWorkspace file and folder management

Alongside modules, every plan defines:

  • Seats — the maximum number of active members in your workspace
  • Storage — the workspace file storage limit in GB
  • Pricing per billing cycle — Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly, or Yearly (longer cycles are usually discounted)

Plan names, prices, and module combinations are managed centrally and can change over time, so always check the plans page in the app for the current lineup. Features that belong to a module your plan doesn’t include are hidden from the sidebar automatically.

Your Current Plan

Open Settings → Billing & Plan to see:

  • Plan name and status — e.g. Active, Free Trial, Grace Period
  • Price and billing cycle — with GST shown separately where applicable
  • Renewal date — when the current period ends
  • Team Seats — active seats used out of your plan’s limit
  • Storage — usage against your storage limit
  • Available Modules — which of the five modules are enabled for your workspace
  • Billing Details — payment mode (online via Razorpay, or offline), billing cycle, current period, and auto-renewal state

Subscription Statuses

StatusMeaning
ActiveSubscription is paid and running normally
Free TrialTrial period with full access to the plan
Grace PeriodThe period ended without renewal — you keep full access for a short grace window (7 days) while payment is sorted out
PausedSubscription is on hold; module access is blocked until resumed. When resumed, your billing period is extended by the paused duration
Payment PendingCheckout was started but not completed — a banner with a Complete Payment button appears on the billing page
Expired / CanceledThe subscription has ended; renew or choose a new plan to continue

Free Plans: Pick One Module

Free plans include exactly one module of your choice. When subscribing to a free plan you’ll be asked to choose your module (CRM, Projects, Payroll, Finance, or File Storage).

  • You can switch your module once within 30 days of activation using the Switch Module button on the billing page.
  • After the 30-day window, the switch option disappears — upgrade to a paid plan to get more modules.

Changing Your Plan

Open the Plans Page

Go to Settings → Billing & Plan and click Change Plan (or Upgrade on a free plan).

Compare Plans

Use the billing-cycle toggle (Yearly, Half Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly) to compare pricing. Each plan card shows its seat limit, storage, included modules, and features, plus a savings badge for longer cycles.

Preview the Change

Select a plan to see a preview before anything is charged:

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. The preview shows prorated charges — the new plan charge, a credit for unused days on your current plan, and the amount due today.
  • Downgrades are scheduled for the end of your current billing period. You keep all current features until then, and a “Plan change scheduled” banner appears on the billing page.
  • Billing-cycle changes (same plan, different cycle) show the effective date of the switch.

Confirm

Click Confirm Upgrade, Schedule Downgrade, or Confirm Change. For payments you’ll be taken to a secure checkout (powered by Razorpay) to complete the transaction.

Some plans have plan switching disabled (for example, custom negotiated plans). If you don’t see a Change Plan button, contact support.

Checkout & Payments

Paid subscriptions are charged through a secure Razorpay checkout:

  1. After confirming a plan, the checkout window opens with your name and email pre-filled.
  2. Complete the payment; Tickmark verifies it automatically and activates your subscription.
  3. If you close the checkout, your subscription stays in Payment Pending — return to Settings → Billing & Plan and click Complete Payment to finish.

Workspaces on offline payment mode (arranged with the Tickmark team) are activated without online checkout.

Coupons

Discount coupons can be applied to paid subscriptions. A coupon is validated against its expiry, redemption limit, and the plans and billing cycles it applies to, and gives either a percentage or a fixed-amount discount. Applied discounts appear on the corresponding payment record.

Seats

Your plan’s seat limit caps how many active members the workspace can have. When all seats are used, inviting new members (and re-activating deactivated users) is blocked until you free up a seat or upgrade to a plan with more seats. See Team Members for managing members.

Payment History

Click Payment History at the bottom of the billing page (or go to Settings → Billing & Plan → Payment History) to see every subscription transaction:

FieldDetails
StatusPaid, Pending, Failed, or Refunded
Plan & cycleWhich plan and billing cycle the payment covers
PeriodThe subscription period the payment applies to
AmountTotal charged, with any discount and GST broken out
ReferenceThe payment gateway transaction ID

Module overrides: in special cases the Tickmark team can enable or disable individual modules for a workspace independently of its plan. Overrides are combined with your plan’s modules, so your Available Modules list may differ slightly from the plan card.

Viewing the current plan is available to all members, but changing plans, subscribing, and viewing payment history require subscription-management permission — typically workspace owners and admins. See Roles & Permissions.
