Recurring Tasks
Automate repetitive work by setting up tasks that automatically recreate on a schedule.
Setting Up a Recurring Task
- Create a task (or open an existing one)
- Click “Set Recurrence” (or use the Recurring Tasks section)
- Choose a recurrence pattern:
| Pattern | Example |
|---|---|
| Daily | Every day, or every N days |
| Weekly | Every Monday, or every 2 weeks on Monday & Friday |
| Monthly | 1st of every month, or last Friday of every month |
| Custom | Every N days/weeks/months |
- Set the start date and optional end date
- Save
How It Works
- When a recurring task’s due date arrives, Tickmark automatically creates the next instance
- Each instance is a regular task — you can edit, assign, and track it independently
- The recurrence schedule continues until paused or deleted
Managing Recurring Tasks
- Pause — Temporarily stop creating new instances
- Resume — Restart the recurrence
- Edit — Change the pattern, assignees, or details
- Delete — Stop the recurrence entirely
Common use cases: Weekly status reports, daily standups, monthly invoicing, quarterly reviews, regular maintenance tasks.
