Categories
Manage categories for tasks, leads, time entries, and other entities.
What Are Categories?
Categories help organize and classify records. For example:
- Task categories: Development, Design, Meeting, Admin, Testing
- Lead categories: Hot, Warm, Cold, Referral
- Time categories: Development, Design, Meeting, Admin, Support
Managing Categories
- Navigate to Settings → Categories
- Select the entity type (Tasks, Leads, Time Entries)
Add a Category
- Click “Add Category”
- Enter the category name
- Optionally assign a color
- Save
Edit a Category
- Click the edit icon next to any category
- Update the name or color
- Save
Delete a Category
- Click the delete icon
- Existing records with this category will have it removed
Using Categories
- Select categories when creating or editing records
- Filter by category in list views
- Group by category in reports and analytics
- Time analytics breaks down hours by category
