What Are Sub-Projects?

Sub-projects let you create a parent-child hierarchy of projects. This is useful for:

  • Breaking a large initiative into phases
  • Organizing work by department or deliverable
  • Managing client projects with multiple workstreams

Creating a Sub-Project

  1. Create a new project (or open an existing one)
  2. In the project settings, select a Parent Project
  3. The project now appears nested under the parent in the project list

How It Works

  • Sub-projects have their own boards, tasks, members, and budgets
  • The parent project’s list view shows all sub-projects
  • You can navigate between parent and child projects
  • Each sub-project is independently managed
