Key Features
Task Bars
Each task appears as a horizontal bar on the timeline:
- Bar length shows the task duration (start date to due date)
- Color coding indicates task status or priority
- Tasks without dates are listed separately
Drag to Update Dates
Click and drag task bars to reschedule:
- Drag the bar — Move the entire task to new dates
- Drag the edges — Extend or shorten the task duration
- Changes are saved automatically
Dependency Arrows
Dependency relationships between tasks are shown as arrows connecting task bars:
- See which tasks block or are blocked by others
- Dependencies are automatically updated when tasks are moved
- See Task Dependencies for more on dependencies
Critical Path
The critical path highlights the sequence of tasks that determine the minimum project duration. Any delay in a critical path task delays the entire project.
Toggle critical path highlighting to see which tasks you can’t afford to delay.
