Track your project budget, monitor spending, and get alerts before you go over budget.
Setting a Budget
- Open a project → go to the Budget tab
- Enter the total project budget amount
- Set your currency
- Save
Tracking Costs
Tickmark automatically calculates project costs based on:
- Time logged — Based on team members’ hourly rates
- Manual cost entries — Add additional expenses
Budget vs Actual
A visual comparison shows:
- Total budget — What was allocated
- Spent so far — Current spending
- Remaining — How much is left
- Percentage used — Visual progress bar
Budget Alerts
Get notified when spending approaches your budget limit:
- Warning — When spending reaches a threshold
- Over budget — When spending exceeds the budget
Cost Breakdown
View costs broken down by:
- Team member
- Task category
- Time period
